REVISED 9/19/2011
JUDEO-CHRISTIAN ISRAEL ALLIANCE
Statement of our Faith

OVERVIEW:
We are a “called-out*” assembly of Believers in Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach
(Messiah Ben Joseph), our God, our Lord, our Redeemer, and our Savior. Members come from all Christian denominations and the Messianic movement. Our desire is to return to the Biblical faith of the 1st Century believers. We meet on the 7th day Sabbath (Shabbat) to rest, study the WORD, worship and fellowship. We call the Sabbath a delight
(Isaiah 58:13) and celebrate the Biblical Feasts of the Lord. As Fundamental Biblical Believers, we are seeking to be obedient bond-servants of our Lord, Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach. We hold to the Promise of Abraham that “the righteous live by faith” (Hebrews 4:13; Genesis 15:6). We support the Nation of Israel as our brother. We recognize that we are a part of Israel through the “seed” of Abraham, and as a Judeo-Christian brotherhood, we are grafted into the olive tree of Israel, whose root is Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach.

* “called-out” Believers are those who are being drawn out of traditional
Christianity and Judaism by the leading of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) to the faith of the 1st century Judeo-Christian believer.

DOCTRINE:

We believe in God the Father, and His Son, Yeshua Jesus, and the Holy Spirit - the Elohim, being one as a trinity, [The Godhead-(God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit)]. Yeshua Jesus is the Creator of Heaven and Earth (John 1:1-4, Colossians 1:16-17). Yehovah (Jehovah) is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He selectively chose these patriarchs to be the human family through whom He would send His Son, Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, into the world to redeem and restore fallen mankind to fellowship with Himself (John 3:16). Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, accomplished His task by being the sinless, innocent sacrifice for our sins. He was born of the virgin, Mary, as the Son of Man and the only Begotten Son of the Father. He was crucified, died and was buried. He rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. He will establish His Kingdom forever (Revelation 11:15). Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, promised that the Father would send the Holy Spirit to live in and through those who believe in Him, to teach us all things through the Word of God, His Holy Scriptures. We believe in the oneness of the Godhead (Father, Son and Holy Spirit)(1 John 5:7 KJV). The Father sends the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name to us. He is the Comforter sent on Pentecost (Shavuot) to dwell within the Believer (John 15:26, John 14:26, Galatians 4:6). As Believers, the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) dwells within the Temple of our heart, and circumcises our heart to be obedient to the Word of God (Matthew 5:17-19. The Holy Spirit bestows his attributes (Isaiah 11:2) of knowledge, understanding, wisdom, counsel, might (power) and fear of the Lord upon us to perfect our walk (Halakah). He identifies your gifts (faithful, prophecy, tongues, service (serving), giving, leadership, administration, teaching, healing, miracle works, discerning spirits, ministry, exhortation (encouragement), mercy, love) (1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Romans 6-10) and leads you to your calling (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Teacher, Pastor) as you mature to be a part of the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18- 20) in sharing the Gospel of the Kingdom (Matthew 24:14, Mark 16:15-18) to others. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance (irrevocable) (Romans 11:29).

It is our mission to make disciples. Our congregation fosters utilization of your gifts and calling. We believe that the whole counsel of God, both Old Testament (Tanakh) and the New Testament (Brit Chadasha) is the inspired, inerrant, and immutable Word of God, the Father. We believe that our Heavenly Father has had two witnesses for the past 2,000 years: Christians and Jews. (Ezekiel 37:16). The Jews have preserved the testimony of the Law (Torah), and the Christians have been witnesses of the Testimony of the Gospel Message of Salvation through Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach and have assumed the disciple role by bringing the Salvation Gospel to all nations, tongues and people. Although these testimonies by themselves are incomplete, they have been the only witnesses for the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We believe that both Christians and Jews have been blinded in part – the Jews to the identity of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach (the Word made flesh), and the Christians to the Torah (God’s 10 Commandments and His instructions) and to their own identity in Israel. We believe it is now time, prophetically, for the two to become one, in Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach and to be completed as the "one new man." (Isaiah 49:1-7, Ephesians 2:14-15).

We further believe that we are children of Abraham’s Promise through Christ
(Galatians 3:6-18) and that all true “born-again” believers (whether Jew or Gentile) are grafted into the commonwealth of Israel (Ephesians 2:12-22). According to Galatians 3:29, “If ye are Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s “seed” (Greek word “sperma”). Therefore, according to the Holy Scriptures, Gentile believers are not only spiritual Israel by grafting, but as stated by Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, (Matthew 10:6), they may also be physical Israel (“lost sheep” and “sheep not of My fold”) as the seed sown among the nations
(book of Hosea). In
Romans 9:24-25, the Apostle Paul quotes the words of the Lord from the book of Hosea in regards to the Gentile believers: “I will call them my people, which were not my people, and her my beloved, which was not beloved” (Hosea 2:23; I Peter 2:10-12). At this time, we may not understand this prophetic scenario foreordained in our heavenly Father’s plan. A future population of a mixed–multitude of Israelites will reunite in the land of Israel during the millennial reign of Christ (Ezekiel 37:16-28, Jeremiah 23:5-8) Let not the Christian nor Messianic Jew strive with one another for both are one (echad) and a new creation in Christ as an Israelite brotherhood of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Galatians 3:15-16). This viewpoint of a united Israel, fulfills God’s plan to bring His people together as one, and applies prophetically through the continuing grafting-in of Gentiles and re-grafting of Messianic Jews. As an Israelite Brotherhood of believers in Christ Jesus, there is neither Jew nor Gentile, but we are echad (one).

At JCIA, we have a special mission to restore the Hebraic roots of our faith, to restore the ancient foundations, repair the breaches in our Christian faith (Isaiah 58, 2 Chronicles 7:14); and make disciples. We support the nation of Israel in the land.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY:

As first century believers and disciples of Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, the basic premise of our Faith is that Jesus Christ paid our sin debt in full, as propitiation to the Father, by His willful death on a cross, He was the “Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world”
(John 1:29). Christ became a man to walk accordingly to Torah without sin, and to die in the flesh, so that mortal man would not have to pay the sin price of death, and could have everlasting life by the quickening of the Holy Spirit. However, as the perfect human blood sacrifice, He defeated death being resurrected by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:11) to sit as our Intercessor and High priest at the right Hand of God, the Father. He died and was the Firstborn of the resurrection to everlasting life (Hebrews 12:2). His death and resurrection defeated Satan, sin and death (Col. 1:18). If we confess our belief in Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, as our personal Savior, we, likewise, can have everlasting life, with the Father, Who cannot look upon sin (Romans 10:9). Our faith in the risen Christ is evident by our confession that Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, is God and Lord over our lives(1 John 4:1-3; 1 John 5:5). When we pray and ask our Heavenly Father anything according to His will, we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, and the Father will hear our prayers (John 16:23-24). Our commitment to this Gospel Message of Salvation is self evident by our walk (Halakah) as a light and as the salt of the Earth (Matt. 5:13-16) as manifest by the fruits of the Holy Spirit:

Galatians 5:22-26 (KJV) " But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another."

Our ministry is organized according to the First Century Church’s Five-fold Ministry for the edification of the Body of Christ, just as Christ’s disciples organized His Churches in Judea, Asia Minor, and throughout the far reaches of the Roman Empire.

Ephesians 4:11-16 (KJV) 11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: 14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase
of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Likewise, according to Scripture, elders play a pivotal role in our ministry. They shall
assist the Shepherd as administrators, and in the healing and anointing ministry through the laying of hands
(1 Timothy 4:14).

Acts 14:23 (KJV) 23And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
James 5:14 - James 5:15 (KJV)14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

JCIA uses the King James Version of the Bible, exclusively, for all Sabbath teachings, Bible studies and forum discussions. However, members and visitors are free to use any of the Bible versions in their private studies or for easy reading. This 1611 Authorized King James Version represents the final culmination of the old English Bibles and its underlying Greek Textus Receptus compiled by Desiderius Erasmus (1516 AD) as its source for the New Testament Scriptures. These Scriptures remain unaltered and unmodified in the KJV, particularly when compared to the newer translations, such as the NIV and other New, Revised, and Amplified Bible versions. The Ben Chayyim Masoretic Text is the text that underlies the Old Testament of the KJV.

All materials (handouts, books, magazines, pamphlets, emails, tapes, videos, CD’s and DVD’s) must be reviewed by the Shepherd before circulation to the Congregation. This policy ensures that no “strange fire” will be brought into our congregational House of the Lord. Our focus is on Christ and the Scriptures, not upon secular or religious propaganda.

Our Sabbath service starts with Spirit-filled praise and worship followed by a Parasha study from the Torah, Haftorah and New Testament (Brit Chadasha) and includes fellowship as a time of sharing: Someone may share a praise report, a need, a psalm, a proverb, or scriptural word or revelation. We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are operative in the Church today. We have a Pastor led midrash session on the weekly Torah portion. We stay updated with events in the nation of Israel and pray for peace in Jerusalem.
Our potluck fellowship snack/meal observes the Biblical food laws.

The Sabbath assembly (kahol) is called together by the sounding of the shofar. Our praise and worship is to communicate with Abba and be in His presence with music, song and Davidic dance. We are amidst the presence of the Holy Spirit as our hearts reach out to Abba Father. We study as a group the Word of God in these weekly Torah studies as enhanced and supplemented by Tanach and New Testament remez verses. During the weekly teaching, we have a fellowship break to greet one another - love God & love the brethren.

Our Prayer Ministry meets on Thursday at 2-4 pm. The congregational shepherds lead us in group prayer and silent prayer.

Eschatology:
Twenty-five percent of the Bible is prophecy. These Scriptures cannot be
neglected, as they reveal the plan of God to the spirit-filled Believer. History is prophecy fulfilled. Prophetic insight is dependent upon
these precepts:

(1) the unveiling of the Scriptures by the Holy Spirit with revelation knowledge. (2) knowing current events,(3) knowledge of historical and archeological records, and (4) a familiarity with the Hebrew roots of our Christian faith (Feasts of the Lord, Hebrew customs and language). Noteworthy is that Abba Father will do nothing unless He reveals it to His prophets (Amos 3:7) and His friends (John 15:15).

We are instructed not to despise prophecy (1 Thessalonians 5:19-20).

Some of our Shepherd’s eschatology teachings:

1. God created all things by speaking the creation into being by the Hebrew language as stated in Genesis chapters 1 and 2.

2. The Earth is a young Earth according to the 7000-year creation plan of God (one day = 1000 years
Psalm 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8).

3. We are now near the end of the time of the Fullness of the Gentiles
(Romans 11:25; Luke 21:24).

4. The prophetic clock is moving and
centers on geo-political-spiritual activities occurring in the Nation of Israel.

5. We do not support Replacement (Kingdom now) Theology that states the promises given to Israel have been transferred to the Church and that Israel is removed from the Kingdom promises.

6. The whole of the Bible promises that the only way to salvation and everlasting life is through believing in the resurrected Christ.

Our doctrinal beliefs are based on the strict literal and fundamental interpretation of the Scriptures, but not legalistic. We believe that the Hebrew Root environment of the 1st century Church most closely represents this basic relationship that we seek with Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, and the Father. We seek to be led by the Holy Spirit in our walk (halakah).

2 John 9-11 (KJV) "Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds."
